The Tri-State Community Concert Association is honored to dedicate the remaining 2024 Rockin’ Classics concert season in memory of
Terrence “Terry” Workman.
Terry was well known as a keyboard musician for over 50 years and a key figure of the Chinese Bandits.
In Memory of
Terry Workman
Sadly, on May 2, 2024, our community – including Tri-State Community Concert Association – lost a music icon with the passing of Terry Workman. Terry was well known keyboard musician for over 50 years as the heart and soul of the Chinese Bandits. As many of you who have followed our concerts for years know, the Chinese Bandits – especially Terry – was a constant support system to our concerts. He worked tirelessly to coordinate with the entertainers, provided much needed equipment and worked out the ‘bugs’ bands would encounter. Everyone in the community knew Terry … and respected him. Without Terry (and his Chinese Bandits), we would not be here today. We sure miss him (and his funny band stories) terribly.
The Tri-State Community Concert Association is honored to dedicate the remaining 2024 Rockin’ Classics concert season in memory of Terrence “Terry” Workman. We also send our heartfelt sympathy to his wife, Paula, son Chris Workman, his family Charity, Rachel, Billie, Austin and his many, many music and community friends.
Paula, THANK YOU for lending us your husband on many a concert night. He meant the world to us – and to our music community.
As the Righteous Brothers said … “If there’s a rock n roll heaven, well you know they’ve got a hell of a band.” And Terry is sitting in, that we are very sure.
Rest easy, Terry. We got this.

H. Dennis "Denny" Knippenberg
January 21, 1940 - September 18, 2024
Denny Knippenberg - the originator of the Tri-State Community Concert Association will forever be missed. Denny was the force behind the Legends of Rock n Roll / Rockin’ Classics division for over 17 years. (2000-2017) Without him, there would be no Tri-State Concerts today.
We want Denny’s family (wife Pat, and children Craig, Kim and Michelle and their families) plus his many friends to know how important he was in keeping the music going.
We will honor his legacy throughout the concert seasons.
Rest easy, Denny. We will keep your music going!.
